lawyers in Texas and he has sued more police chiefs and Sheriffs than any other lawyer in Texas.
On August 27, 2012, Mr. Bohlke was on his way to his former ranch, in order to show a bull to two individuals. Mr. Bohlke never came back. His wife and children decided to look for him and to contact the authorities. Since then, their lives have changed forever. On the night of the murder, the family were told that a bull was the culprit in the murder of Bill Bohlke. By the next day, they changed the story to a donkey. This news made national and international news, but that is not the truth.
The family hired a forensic expert a year into the ordeal, to find out the it would have been impossible for a donkey to kill Mr. Bohlke. Then, they hired our law firm to see if anything could be found, other than what the Sheriff has been saying for almost two years. We have communicated with the Atascosa Sheriffs and the Atascosa County Attorney the new findings of evidence but to this date, Sheriff refuses to reopen the case.
In April of 2014, District Judge Laura Salinas ordered that the body of Bill Bohlke could be exhumed; however, the family was tasked to pay for such ordeal and to also pay for the autopsy. Today, we await for a Justice of the Peace in Atascosa County to see if they will reopen the inquest into the murder of Bill Bohlke.
The family is asking everyone to help. If you are interested in helping, please donate HERE.
