11-Hour Driving Limit
Truck drivers may only drive a maximum of 11 hours and then are required to take 10 consecutive hours off duty.
14-Hour On-Duty Limit
Truck drivers may not drive beyond the 14th consecutive hour after coming on duty. After 14 hours on duty they must take 10 consecutive hours off duty. An example of on-duty would be fueling or loading up a truck. Also, time off-duty time can not and will not extend the 14-hour period.
